In May 2018, the three Green River Road Foremen (David Elliot from Marlboro, Brad Rafus from Halifax, and Dan Zumbruski from Guilford), all joined community members at the Broad Brook Community Center for an evening of storytelling about the importance of road work in our communities, especially as it relates to water quality and flood resilience.

Marie Caduto, Basin Planner with VT DEC, demonstrated watershed dynamics  and stormwater drainage in the watershed, and how it interacts with our roads. This way, we were able to demonstrate the practices that the road crews use in their work to protect water quality and help make our communties safer and more resilient to flood hazards.​
